The MPC2000XL Special Edition 3 (SE3) is one of the rarest factory variants ever released by Akai, produced in a strictly limited run of only 150 units worldwide. This example features the distinctive silver finish, factory-installed 8 individual outputs, and the full 32MB memory expansion. Originally produced for the Japanese market, this unit has been carefully preserved in excellent condition.
The included power cable is a Japanese Type A 2-prong plug with a separate ground wire. A detachable 3-prong adapter is included; photos show the cable and adapter for reference.
The unit uses a standard IEC C13 inlet, allowing replacement with a locally available IEC C13 power cable if preferred. A plug adapter may be required depending on your country.
Condition
• Excellent overall cosmetic condition with a very clean exterior.
• Lightly used in its early years, then stored long-term in a smoke-free, pet-free studio.
• Never opened and never modified — all screws remain original and untouched; close-up photos of the screw heads are provided for verification.
